In 1982, ARI was challenged by a sizable prospective customer in the railroad industry to provide a dedicated truck upfitting company in the Midwest. ARI purchased a company in Kansas City, MO called Dealers Body and Equipment - now known as Fleet Body Equipment (FBE) - which in 1992 expanded operations to include a facility in Fort Worth, TX. FBE specializes in truck mounted equipment such as cranes, aerial buckets, hyrail, hydraulics, and heavy duty bodies for railroad, construction, and utility fleets.
